This morning, a dog barely clinging to life caught someone’s attention. His body was paper-thin, every bone visible through his skin.
Large patches of fur had fallen off, his body emitted a strong odor, and his eyes and nose were leaking pus. His skin was raw and inflamed from fleas and mange.
Seeing him in that condition brought tears. It was clear he had suffered for a very long time.
Despite his pain, he was calm and trusting, looking up quietly as if asking for help. He was rushed to a veterinary hospital.
So light he felt like air, it seemed a firm hug could break him. Tests began immediately—blood, stool samples, and scans to assess his internal condition.
The veterinarian grew concerned while examining the dog’s stomach. Hunger had taken such a toll that his intestines had become blocked and stuck together.
To ease the pressure, they started by giving him water and monitoring him closely with specialized equipment.
Because of his extreme weakness and malnourishment, he required constant blood transfusions. Yet, through it all, he remained calm and cooperative with the staff.
Surgery was necessary, but his fragile condition made it risky.
Though his chances are uncertain, the team is doing everything they can. For now, all anyone can do is wait, care for him, and hope he’s strong enough to keep fighting.
