Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko from Moscow have turned an extraordinary idea into their everyday reality: sharing their home with a 300-pound bear named Stepan.
Their story began 23 years ago when they found Stepan, a three-month-old orphaned cub, in dire straits after being abandoned by hunters. Moved by compassion, the couple decided to adopt him and provide a loving home.

Today, Stepan stands at 7 feet tall and weighs over 200 kilograms. Despite his imposing size, he is described as affectionate and friendly, with no history of aggression towards humans.
Stepan has integrated seamlessly into the Panteleenkos’ household routine. He enjoys watching television with them and lends a paw around the house, helping with tasks like watering plants.

Surprisingly, Stepan has developed a penchant for sweet treats, with condensed milk ranking high among his favorite indulgences.
In terms of diet, Stepan consumes a whopping 25 kilograms of fish, eggs, and vegetables daily to sustain his large frame.
Despite his hearty appetite, he stays fit by playing football and participating in film roles and photo shoots.

The Panteleenkos cherish their evenings cuddled up on the sofa with Stepan, highlighting his gentle temperament and affectionate nature.
Yuriy reflects on their journey together, recalling Stepan’s rough start in life and how their bond has flourished over the years.
This remarkable tale challenges preconceived notions about bears and showcases the deep bond that can form between humans and animals, even across species boundaries.
