Eggbert’s rapid adoption is not surprising. The Fairfield shelter’s Facebook page fondly describes him as an “absolute angel of a kitty.”
They wrote, “Though he was born missing an eye and a nostril, he doesn’t let that slow him down—except when he snores like a chainsaw!”
Even with his unique challenges, this Ohio tabby exemplifies resilience and joy. His delight in giving headbutts, having his chin scratched, and following people around like a duckling paints a picture of a cat full of affection.
Previously, Eggbert experienced occasional seizures, but since being under the shelter’s care, he has remained seizure-free. The shelter is committed to monitoring his health and providing epilepsy treatment if necessary.
Eggbert’s new journey began when Holly Starr noticed him on Facebook. It was love at first sight, as she felt he would fit perfectly into her family, which includes Lark—another rescue from the same shelter.
Without delay, Holly called the shelter the following morning, met Eggbert, and welcomed him into his new home. The shelter joyfully announced, “Talk about a head-turner! Eggbert has been adopted!”
Not only did Eggbert find a loving family, but he also gained a new best friend. Holly expressed her affection for pets with special needs, saying, “I’ve always had a special place in my heart for them.
I want to ensure they live in a loving home with all the attention they deserve.”
The Fairfield shelter celebrated Eggbert’s adoption, exclaiming, “The update you’ve all been waiting for: Superstar Eggbert is off to his forever home!
His new family includes another FAHS alumni kitty, ensuring Eggy is in the best hands possible. He couldn’t have found a better home filled with love and care.”
