At New York’s Bailiwick Animal Park, Tallulah, a baby brown bear, has become the park’s youngest and one of its most heartwarming stories.
Like many residents of the park, Tallulah was rescued. She spent the first four months of her life abandoned before finding a home at Bailiwick Animal Park.

Here, the young bear often attempted to befriend other animals but repeatedly faced rejection, leaving her isolated.

When Tallulah met Kayden, a two-year-old dog and the sanctuary’s only canine resident, everything changed. Kayden, full of energy and needing a playmate, instantly recognized a kindred spirit in Tallulah as he watched her play alone.
Their bond formed almost immediately. Despite initially ignoring Kayden’s favorite squeaky toy, Tallulah quickly showed Kayden that companionship was more straightforward than he thought. The two have been inseparable ever since, bringing joy to each other.
