This morning, a German Shepherd found on the banks of Fairhaven Lake drew attention from the local community and emergency services. Teams from Lancashire Fire and Rescue, Lancashire Police, along with several helpful bystanders, collaborated to ensure the dog’s safety. The canine has since been handed over to the care of the neighborhood RSPCA and is reportedly safe and sound.

The Veterinary Health Centre is currently responsible for the dog’s well-being as authorities seek to identify its owner. To claim the dog, the owner must present valid ownership documentation. Meanwhile, the police are conducting a search around the lake area, hoping to gather information through CCTV footage that could help locate the dog’s owner.
