A touching reunion between a cancer patient and his support puppy, both battling the disease, has been captured in a heartwarming video.

Diego García, who is also a police dog trainer, was at his home in San Bernardo, a coastal town in Buenos Aires, when his seven-month-old puppy, Bravo, was kidnapped on July 28.

García had opened the garage door to let Bravo inside, only to discover moments later that someone had taken him.

Desperate to find Bravo, García knocked on doors in his neighborhood and shared photos of his beloved puppy on social media.

His search came to a joyful conclusion when a woman spotted Bravo just half a mile away in Costa Azul on Friday night.

“It was a divine feeling,” García expressed, reflecting on their reunited moment. “Bravo is my partner. It was exciting for everyone, especially for my son and me. My heart returned to my body, and you can see the joy on the dog’s face.”

Despite suffering some injuries, Bravo was taken to a local veterinarian for a routine ultrasound, and García reported that the puppy was overall fine.

García described his close bond with Bravo, stating, “Since March, we have been inseparable.

Bravo sleeps with me, has breakfast, walks, and goes shopping with me. We are one. I take care of him, and he takes care of me. Bravo changed my life.”

The San Bernardo prosecutor’s office is now investigating the incident. García confirmed that a complaint for dog theft had been filed but noted that he could not share further details as the case is under the prosecutor’s jurisdiction.

He emphasized, “The dog never escaped. They took the dog away, but I don’t know what happened afterward or why they released him.”
