Teddy, an Alaskan Malamute, wades into a lake with a calm, steady dog paddle. His owner narrates, “Who would win between a Malamute and a group of swans, ducks, and cygnets? Let’s see if Teddy makes it over.”

As Teddy glides smoothly through the water, not making a splash, a group of mute swans and ducks float in the distance.

Although swans are known for being territorial and sometimes aggressive, Teddy seems unaware of this.

He moves gracefully, with only his head above the water, resembling a mix between a Malamute and an alligator.

Teddy swims towards the swans but, despite getting quite close, they pay no attention to him. After reaching the middle of the lake, Teddy turns back, rejoining his Malamute friends on the shore. He takes a moment to shake off the water and rest before returning for another swim.

He makes several trips back and forth, seemingly hoping to engage with the swans, but without success. Still, his determination is impressive, as he keeps trying to connect with the birds.

Teddy’s friendly nature makes him stand out among the other Malamutes at the lake, earning him a reputation as the most easygoing of the group.

After a while, Teddy settles into simply enjoying the cool water, moving around the lake at his own pace.
