A small puppy named Smile was rescued from dire conditions alongside 23 other dogs in a hoarding house. Despite the challenging environment, her spirit remained unbroken, and she never stopped smiling after being rescued.
Smile spent her early life without understanding true affection, as she lived in a house overcrowded with dogs, where illness was rampant. Fortunately, the At-Choo Foundation in Toluca Lake, California, stepped in to help the suffering animals.

Though Smile was suffering from mange, her situation was not as dire as some of her companions. However, she faced another challenge: she was pregnant and in significant discomfort.
The organization No Dog Left Behind (NDLB), based in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, heard Smile’s story and felt compelled to assist, undeterred by the geographical distance. “She freely shares her smiles, and we hope to show her that humans are worthy of her affection,” NDLB expressed via Facebook.

When Smile arrived in Minnesota, her tiny size and neglected condition were evident, resulting in the tragic loss of her entire litter two weeks before birth due to severe neglect.
Despite these hardships, Smile’s resilient nature shone through, and her ever-present smile brought joy to everyone during quarantine. Stephanie Easley, the manager at NDLB, remarked on the comfort Smile provided during difficult times.

Easley chose to foster Smile, welcoming her into her home, where they spent time together in high spirits. Throughout her recovery, Smile remained gentle and trusting, even during treatments and bathing, as if she understood she was finally safe.
While many expressed interest in adopting Smile, her treatment was a priority before she could transition to a new home. Eventually, the right family was found, offering her a permanent and loving environment.

NDLB joyfully announced, “Smile has joined a wonderful family, and we are confident she will thrive with them.”
Now, Smile enjoys a happy and fulfilling life, sharing her infectious smile with all those around her. Her adventures can be followed on TikTok, where her joyful spirit continues to inspire smiles.
