Left abandoned in the forest, she was in a dire state, her mouth sealed with tape and her legs broken, vulnerable to the harsh elements and her injuries. But Angel’s story was far from over.
A compassionate passerby and his wife spotted her fragile figure and acted swiftly. They gently removed the tape from her muzzle, cleaned her battered body, and did their best to comfort her through the pain.
Realizing the severity of her condition, it was clear that Angel required more intensive care than they could offer.
With urgency, Angel was taken to the hospital, where the true battle for her life began. An initial examination revealed the shocking extent of her ordeal: she had been shot six times, with one bullet lodged in her spine, causing paralysis.
Angel’s ordeal at the hands of heartless individuals was appalling. Yet, despite her immense pain, she exhibited an incredible resilience and spirit that inspired everyone she met.
Two days later, Angel underwent surgery to remove the bullet from her spine. She miraculously pulled through the complex operation, filled with a renewed zest for life and demonstrating gratitude for the second chance she received.
In the days following, Angel’s recovery was nothing short of remarkable. Although she faced a mild fever and required constant care, her spirit remained unbroken.
Thanks to the dedication of a nurturing foster family, she overcame the odds, learning to maneuver through life with the aid of a stroller.
Today, as Angel set off for her new home in Wisconsin, there was a bittersweet feeling at seeing her go. We were filled with gratitude and awe, tinged with a touch of sadness to part ways.
Ultimately, the joy lies in knowing that Angel has found her happy ending.
