About a month ago, a kitten was found behind a tire at a construction site, looking frail and unkempt.
The little feline, missing chunks of fur and infested with fleas, was in such dire condition that rescuers quickly reached out to Deej, co-founder of Inked Kittens Club, for help.
“When she arrived at my home later that day, it was clear she was very sick,” Deej told Love Meow.
They named the kitten Furby, and despite her struggles, she showed a fierce determination to survive, using every bit of her strength to eat and fight for her life.

Even in her frail state, Furby was full of spirit, purring contentedly as she received the love and care she desperately needed.
Under Deej’s attentive care, Furby slowly started to recover. In just one week of receiving fluids, syringe feedings, and medication, her health improved remarkably.
“When she finally began to eat on her own, I knew we were making progress,” Deej noted.
Initially, Furby stayed close to her bed, leaving only to use the litter box. However, one day, she tentatively ventured out and soon developed trust in her new companions. “Once she realized we were friends, she stuck to us like glue,” Deej shared.

Severe malnutrition had caused Furby to lose a lot of fur on her chest, legs, and tail. But as she gained weight, her fur started to grow back, gradually revealing her vibrant and playful personality.
“She has a couple of expressions: a grumpy look with flat brows and a cute little tongue sticking out. The more I watch her, the funnier and more adorable she becomes,” said Deej.
As Furby’s energy returned, she started to play more and craved attention. “She prefers pets over food. If I’m not giving her enough affection, she’ll gently tap my hand with her paw while playfully sticking her tongue out.

She’s quite the character,” Deej laughed.
Furby quickly made friends with the other cats, eagerly teaching them how to play with toys. Through these interactions, she learned to engage appropriately and respect boundaries.
“Her favorite thing is chasing me around the house. She loves her plush toys, especially asserting her dominance over a toy snake every night,” Deej explained.

Now around three months old, Furby’s ear tufts have grown longer. “Her bald spots are filling in beautifully, and she’s made great strides in socializing. She still enjoys playfully chasing our feet,” Deej added.
It’s incredible to think this adorable young cat was once a scraggly kitten with sparse fur just weeks ago. Today, Furby has transformed into a lively and spirited companion.
“With her quirky appearance and unique coat, I couldn’t be more smitten with her,” Deej concluded.

(A story of transformation, Furby, a kitten rescued from behind a tire, has thrived in a loving environment.
Through determination and care, she has gone from a precarious start to becoming a delightful and charming companion, highlighting the impact of love and support.)
