I sat with them as the evening set in, watching her gently comfort him, even as he struggled to move.
It didn’t take long to realize how serious his condition was. We rushed him to the vet, hoping for the best.
The diagnosis was crushing—two spinal fractures that could leave him unable to walk.
While his mother was healthy enough to be vaccinated and returned to a shelter for care, her puppy needed more than just time to heal.
Despite the risks, we decided to try. The puppy, now named Thor, began a difficult road to recovery.
His tiny body wasn’t strong enough for surgery right away, but his spirit never gave up. Through every setback, he kept fighting.
